Arena
What is Arena?
Arena is where MrQ's multiplayer and competitive games live. In Arena you can:
Daily Leaderboard: climb the rankings for a chance to win Free Spins.
99 Royale: battle up to 98 other players in our multiplayer slot.
Races: enter timed competitions where the most points win cash prizes.
Where do I find Arena?
Tap Explore at the bottom of the screen.
Choose Arena.
Arena works on the MrQ app, mobile web and desktop.
Why can't I see Arena?
There are a few possible reasons:
Maintenance: Arena games are sometimes taken down for maintenance. When that happens, you'll see a banner on the site, and Arena will be back once the work is done.
Account checks: Arena is only open to players aged 18+ with a verified account.
Safer gambling tools: Arena isn't available while you're on a Time-Out or Self-Exclusion.
If none of these apply and you still can't see Arena, get in touch with our Player Experience Team via chat and we'll look into it.
Will other players see my name in Arena?
No. You appear in Arena under an anonymous username, and only you can see your own name and profile picture. We don't publish the names of winners, and we don't share your real name or other personal data unless the law or a regulator requires us to.
Do my safer gambling tools apply in Arena?
Yes. Your deposit limits, Time-Outs, Self-Exclusion and other safer gambling tools work in Arena exactly as they do everywhere else on MrQ. You can manage them at any time in your account.
Can I opt out of Arena?
Yes. Taking part in Arena is optional. To opt out, send a message to [email protected].
What happens if my account becomes ineligible?
If your account becomes ineligible, you'll be removed from any competition you're taking part in and won't receive a prize from it. You won't be able to join another competition until your account is fully eligible again.
Daily Leaderboard
How does the Daily Leaderboard work?
Opt in once on the Leaderboard page. From then on, you're entered every day.
Earn points with wins on eligible games.
Finish in the top 50 to win a prize. Each leaderboard runs from 9PM UK time to 8:59PM UK time the next day, then points reset to zero.
Do I need to opt in?
Yes. The first time you open the Leaderboard, a short summary explains how it works and asks you to opt in. You only need to do this once.
How do I earn points?
Points are your win multiplier × 100. For example:
A 10x win = 1,000 points
A 50x win = 5,000 points
Your stake doesn't affect your points. A 10x win on a 10p spin scores the same as a 10x win on a £10 spin.
Which games count?
The eligible games are always listed on the Leaderboard page. They earn points wherever you open them on MrQ, not just from Arena. Games not on the list don't earn points.
The list can change from time to time. Any change only applies from the start of the next daily leaderboard, never partway through one.
What can I win?
The top 50 players on each daily leaderboard win a prize. Prizes are paid as Free Spins, and the Leaderboard page shows which type each one is. The total prize values are:
1st: £50
2nd: £35
3rd: £25
4th–13th: £15
14th–28th: £10
29th–50th: £5
Can I win more than once?
You can win one prize per daily leaderboard. You can win again on other days.
How do I know if I've won?
After 9PM UK time, look at the top of the Arena tab. If you won, you'll see a button to claim your prize. If you didn't, you'll see where you finished. Once you've claimed a prize, you'll find it in Rewards → For You.
Do Leaderboard prizes expire?
You need to claim your Free Spins before they're added to your account. Once added, they're valid for 7 days. Anything you win from them is paid in cash, with no wagering requirement.
Can the number of Free Spins in a prize change?
Sometimes, yes. The number of spins and the value of each spin can change, but the total value of the prize always stays the same. For example, 50 spins at £1 each could become 25 spins at £2 each. Any change is shown on the Arena tab before that day's leaderboard starts.
What happens if two players have the same points?
The player who reached that total first ranks higher. This applies to every tied position.
99 Royale
What is 99 Royale?
99 Royale is a slot where you're not spinning alone. Up to 99 players join the same battle and spin at the same time. Your wins power up attacks on other players, so you can knock them out and climb the rankings. At the end, the higher you finish, the bigger your share of the Battle Prize.
Do I need to opt in to play 99 Royale?
No. You don't need to opt in to Arena to play 99 Royale. Just go to Arena and choose 99 Royale.
Where can I play 99 Royale?
Go to Explore → Arena → 99 Royale. It works on the MrQ app, mobile web and desktop.
Which 99 Royale games are there?
There are three heroes to choose from, and each hero is its own game:
Ragnarok: the Viking
Cherry Blossom: the anime warrior
Ra the King: Egyptian royalty
How does a 99 Royale battle work?
Pick your hero. Choose which game you want to play.
Hit Play. You can keep spinning while the battle fills up, so there's no waiting around.
3, 2, 1… Fight. When the countdown ends, the battle starts.
Spin and attack. Your wins build power. Attack your target, or switch to an easier one to land the knockout.
Level up. Big wins and knockouts make your hero stronger.
Final ranking. Everyone is ranked at the end. The higher your position, the bigger your prize.
What am I looking at on the screen?
Battle Prize (top): what everyone is playing for
Players left (top left): how many players are still in the battle
Skull (top right): how many knockouts you've landed
Target: the player you're attacking, and their health bar
Your hero (bottom left): your health and power
Spin button: plays your next spin
Coin button: changes your bet
How is the Battle Prize shared?
Every player is ranked at the end of the battle. The higher you finish, the bigger your share of the Battle Prize.
My balance went up before the game showed my win. Is that right?
Yes, that's normal. Your winnings are added to your balance as soon as the battle ends. Sometimes that happens a moment before the game shows you the result.
Where can I find the rules and RTP for 99 Royale?
Open the game and tap the info or rules button. That's where you'll find the full rules and the RTP for that game.
Races
What are Races?
Races are timed competitions in Arena. You pay a small entry fee and get a set number of Race Spins on one game. When time's up, the players with the most points win cash prizes.
Do I need to opt in to play Races?
No. You don't need to opt in to Arena to join a Race. Just go to Arena and choose Races.
Where do I find Races?
Go to Explore → Arena → Races. Races work on the MrQ app, mobile web and desktop.
Why can't I see Races?
Races is being tested with some players first, so not everyone will see it yet.
When are the races?
Check Upcoming Races in the app. That's always the latest schedule.
How do I join a Race?
Tap Join on the Races page when the race starts. You'll see a confirmation before the fee is taken.
Entry fee: this comes from your cash balance. Bonus funds can't be used.
One entry per race: you can enter each race once, but you can join as many different races as you like.
Cut-off: entries close shortly before the race ends. The cut-off time is shown on the race card.
What are Race Spins?
Race Spins are the spins you get with your entry. They only work on that race's game, and only while the race is running. Any Race Spins you don't use disappear when the race ends.
Do I keep what I win on Race Spins?
No. Race Spins earn points, not cash. The only money you can win in a Race is the prize for finishing in a paid position.
How do I earn points in a Race?
Points work the same way as the Daily Leaderboard: your win multiplier × 100. A 10x win earns 1,000 points, whatever the stake.
Does a spin count if it's still running when the race ends?
No. Spins and bonus features need to finish before the race ends to count towards your points.
What can I win?
Race prizes are paid in cash, and they're different for each race. You'll always see the prizes on the race page before you enter.
How do I get my prize?
When the race ends, claim your prize from the Races page. If you don't claim a cash prize within 24 hours, it's added to your cash balance automatically. Cash prizes never expire.
What happens if I lose connection during a race?
No problem. Jump back in before the race ends and you can use any Race Spins you have left.
Can I get my entry fee back?
Entry fees aren't refundable, except in the specific cases set out in the Arena Terms and Conditions below.
Arena Terms and Conditions
These are the terms for the Daily Leaderboard and Races. MrQ's General Terms and Conditions also apply to every Arena competition. You can read them on the Daily Leaderboard and Races page at any time.
Arena includes two competitions: the Daily Leaderboard and Races. Sections A and D apply to both; Section B applies to the Daily Leaderboard; Section C applies to Races.
A. General
Arena is available to eligible MrQ players who have opted in. To take part in any Arena competition, players must be 18+, hold a verified MrQ account that is not subject to Safer Gambling related restrictions and opt in via the Arena tab. Opting in is required to play any game on the Arena tab. Players only need to opt in once.
Some Arena features, including Races, may be gradually released to selected players. Availability of a feature is not guaranteed. Where a feature is not available to you, that does not affect your participation in other Arena competitions and withdrawing a feature does not affect a race you have already entered or a Daily Leaderboard cycle that has already started; clause 4 (under Section D) applies.
Players appear in Arena competitions under an anonymous username. Only you can see your own name and profile image. We do not publish the names of winners. Unless we are required to by law or by a regulatory body, we do not display or share your real name or any other personal data.
MrQ's General Terms and Conditions apply to all Arena competitions. These are available from the Arena tab and from your account at any time, and stay available for as long as a competition is running. Where these Arena terms and the General Terms and Conditions conflict, the General Terms and Conditions will take precedence.
Taking part in Arena is optional, if you would like to opt-out of Arena products please send a message to [email protected]. Your deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion and other gambling-management tools apply to Arena in the same way as to the rest of MrQ, and you can use them at any time from your account.
B. The Daily Leaderboard
The Arena Daily Leaderboard is an ongoing daily competition. Points are earned by playing eligible games anywhere on MrQ once you have opted in.
Points are calculated from win multipliers (the multiple of stake won on each spin or round) summed across the day multiplied per 100. Stake size does not affect points earned.
Example: A £1 stake returning £3 earns the same points as a £5 stake returning £15.
The eligible games that contribute points to the Daily Leaderboard are always listed under Dashboard and Games. This list may be updated from time to time. We may add or remove eligible games, but only to reflect a change in the games available on MrQ or where a game has to be withdrawn for technical, licensing or regulatory reasons. A change takes effect from the start of the next daily cycle and is never applied during a cycle that has already begun. The current list is always shown on the Arena tab. Wagers on games not listed do not contribute points.
Each Daily Leaderboard runs in a 24-hour cycle from 9PM UK time to 8:59PM UK time the following day. Points reset to zero at the start of each cycle.
The top 50 players on each Daily Leaderboard win a prize, awarded in Free Spins or Cash with the total values shown here:
1st place: £50
2nd place: £35
3rd place: £25
4th–13th place: £15
14th–28th place: £10
29th–50th place: £5
These are the total values and could be awarded as Free Spins or Cash, the information on the type of reward will be available in the Leaderboard tab. You can claim your prize from the Arena tab after the cycle ends. Free Spins prizes must be claimed to be credited in your account. Once credited, Free Spins are valid for 7 days and all winnings from them are paid in cash with no wagering requirement. Cash prizes can be claimed in the 24 hours after the competition settles. If you have not claimed it in that time, we credit it to your cash balance automatically. Either way the money is yours, and it does not expire.
If two or more players finish a cycle on the same points total, the player who reached that total first during the cycle is ranked higher. This applies to each tied position.
MrQ may adjust the number of Free Spins and per-spin value within a prize, provided the total value always matches the amount in clause 5. We do this only where a change in the per-spin values available on a game requires it. A change applies only to cycles that have not yet started, is shown on the Arena tab before the cycle begins.
Example: The 1st place prize may change from 50 £1 spins (£50 total) to 25 £2 spins (£50 total).
A player can win one prize per Daily Leaderboard cycle. Across multiple days, a player may win multiple prizes.
If your account becomes ineligible before or during participation, you will be automatically removed from any competition you are taking part in and cannot enter another until your full eligibility is restored. You will not receive a prize from a competition you are removed from.
C. Races
Races are scheduled competitions that run at set times each day. Each race has its own entry fee, number of Race Spins, designated game, duration, and prize pool. Details for each race, including its prizes, are displayed on the race page before you enter, please always check an individual race's details before joining, as they differ between races.
To enter a race, you pay the entry fee shown, which is taken from the cash balance of your MrQ account. Entry fees cannot be paid using Free Spins, or other promotional credit. The fee is shown before you confirm entry and is taken only when you confirm. It is not refundable except as set out in clauses 5 (A. General), 12 (C. Races), 14 (C. Races) and 2 (D. Fair play and changes).
One entry per player per race. Players may enter multiple races on the same day.
Entry to each race closes at the cut-off time shown on the race page. After the cut-off, no further entries are accepted for that race.
When you enter a race you receive the set number of Race Spins on that race's designated game, each at the stake value shown on the race page. Race Spins are playable only during that race's window, only on the designated game, and expire when the race time window closes. Unused Race Spins have no cash value and cannot be used on another game, carried over, exchanged, or refunded.
Your position in a race is determined by points only. Points are calculated as the sum of your win multipliers across your Race Spins, multiplied by 100. Race Spins do not pay cash. Any winnings accumulated during a race do not count towards your final classification and only your points determine your finishing position.
Race Spins must be completed within the race time window to be counted towards your points. If a spin or bonus feature is still running when the window closes, the spin doesn't score.
During a race, a live feed shows your position against other entrants in real time. Positions shown during the race are provisional; final positions are settled from our records when the race window ends.
If two or more players finish a race on the same points total, the player who reached that total first is ranked higher. This applies to each tied position.
Race prizes are set out in the race's prize pool, shown on the race page before entry. Prizes may be awarded in cash, Free Spins, or a combination, and differ between races.
Race prizes are made available for claim from the Races tab when the race settles. Prizes must be claimed within 24 hours of the race ending; after that period unclaimed cash prizes will be credited automatically to your account.
If you disconnect during a race, you may rejoin and use your remaining Race Spins at any point before the race window closes.
If your account becomes ineligible during a race (as defined in Section 14 of our General T&Cs), you will be removed from the race and will not be eligible for a prize.
D. Fair play and changes
MrQ reserves the right to disqualify any player suspected of fraud, collusion, multi-accounting, or abuse of any Arena mechanic, to void related prizes, and to withhold entry fees where entry was made in breach of these terms.
MrQ may amend the schedule, format, entry fees, or prizes of future races, and to amend or terminate any Arena competition. Material changes will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible. Changes will not affect races already in progress or entries already paid nor to a Daily Leaderboard cycle that has already started.
