What is a Spend Limit?
On the 13th of February 2025, we'll be updating Deposit Limits to Spend Limits, a Safer Gambling tool that helps you manage your deposits whilst taking into consideration your withdrawals.
A Spend Limit works as a net calculation, taking into account your deposits and withdrawals made in the selected period. Any funds withdrawn during the period are automatically offset against your set Spend Limit, allowing you to deposit up to the total value of the limit plus the total value of withdrawals made in the period.
Example: If your Daily Spend Limit is £10 and you deposited £10 today, but then withdraw £20, you can deposit a further £20.
You can set these up on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis.
How can I set up a Spend Limit?
You can set Spend Limits before you make your first deposit or at any time after that by going to the Limits section of your account. Once set, you’ll be able to adjust or remove them in the same place.
If you want to increase or remove your limit, you can. Once requested, there’s a 24-hour cooling-off period, giving you time to change your mind if needed. A request to decrease your limit will take effect immediately.
When will my limits refresh?
Spend Limits work on a calendar basis, and so will refresh based on the timeframe you set:
- Daily limits reset every day at midnight.
- Weekly limits run from Monday to Sunday.
- Monthly limits follow the calendar month.
For example, if you set a £100 weekly limit and deposit £100 at 23:50 on Sunday, you can deposit another £100 at 00:00 on Monday. After that, you won’t be able to deposit again until the following Monday.
Where you have chosen a Spend Limit over multiple timeframes or where we have imposed a financial limit onto your account, the lowest available value will apply.
